Community Partnerships McKay Creek Flood & Habitat Protection – Community Meeting

Join us to learn what’s been happening along McKay Creek – and what’s coming next – to reduce flood risk and improve floodplain processes.

Wednesday, February 18, 2026
6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Pendleton Christian School
3121 SW Hailey Ave, Pendleton, OR

In April 2019, flooding along Lower McKay Creek affected 63 homes and caused an estimated $8.75 million in damage. Since then, a partnership of local residents and agencies have been working together to find ways to achieve outcomes with multiple benefits: reduce flooding, improve emergency response, protect fish habitat, and maintain water for irrigation. A lot has been accomplished — and there’s more ahead.

Join us on Wednesday, February 18 to hear what’s been done since 2019 and the plan forward.
