The Camas Creek watershed was chosen by the Oregon Department of Agriculture as a “Strategic Implementation Area” (SIA), where ODA evaluates agriculture’s impact on water quality. ODA recognizes agricultural landowners already do a lot to protect water quality. This effort is intended to provide additional support for working lands and watershed health. Agricultural properties were evaluated using publicly available aerial imagery and/or field observations from publicly accessible areas (primarily roadsides). The evaluations focused on livestock near creeks, the quality of streamside vegetation, and the amount of bare ground located near a waterway.
ODA would like to invite you to learn more about the ODA Ag Water Quality program and the results of the evaluation.
Local conservation partners will be present at the Open House to help landowners interested in assistance for the protection, conservation, and restoration of natural resources.

If you have any questions or concerns about the Open House or the Strategic Implementation Area, please contact Brent Smith at 971-458-2761 or brentton.smith@oda.oregon.gov.
